The nearest major airport is approximately 60 miles away in Billings. From the airport, take I-90 west to the second Laurel exit (#434), then take 212 West/310 South to Red Lodge. The 60-mile drive is along a scenic mountain road and takes approximately 1 1/2 hours to complete. Drive through town; the resort is located at the southern city limits.

Shuttle service to the Airport: No

While staying at the Chateau Rouge Lodge, be sure to drive the Beartooth Highway, called the most scenic drive in America. The highway begins at Red Lodge, climbs 11,000 feet to Beartooth Pass, and then drops quickly down to the northeast entrance of Yellowstone Park, about a 2.5-hour drive. In spring and summer enjoy trout fishing, golf, horseback riding, and tennis within 5 miles of the resort. For skiers, Red Lodge boasts the highest and sunniest ski areas in Montana. Only 6 miles from the resort, the ski area offers 25 miles of trails with a top elevation of 9,416 feet.
