The resort offers studio, one- and two-bedroom air conditioned apartment style accommodations. Super Suites have two bathrooms and are outfitted to make up to six adults and children quite comfortably. All studios and apartments feature a balcony that sets before you the wonderful panoramas of the coastline, and have kitchen facilities sized according to the number of people to be accommodated in each unit. Some units also offer an in-room spa.

The Don Poncho Beach Resort is 15 km (10 miles) east of Bundaberg. Here the Great Barrier Reef begins with the two coral Islands, Lady Musgrave and Lady Elliott Islands, both of which are accessible by fast catamaran or plane. Along the shores, humpback whales travel from mid-August to October. Giant turtles can also be seen nearby from late November to late January. The famous Bundaberg Rum Distillery, Bert Hinkler Memorial, and Schmeider's Cooperage are all worth a visit.
