BY AIR: Shannon International (56 miles). The easiest way to the resort is to hire a car. The drive to the resort can take up to 1.5 hours. LOCAL AIRPORT: Galway, Internal flights only, (6.25 miles). BY RAIL - Dublin to Galway, approx. 2 hrs 20 mins. BY ROAD: Take the N18 to Galway. Once in the town centre, follow the beach road (R336) and then signs to Barna and Spiddal, which is approx 5 mins away. Drive through Barna town passing the Twelve Pins Restaurant and the cottages are situated on the right hand side about 1/2 mile on.

The beauty of the area is legendary - it is one of the few unspoiled areas of Europe. Within a few minutes' drive, you will find several restaurants, shops and bars; a car is advisable, but with good public transport, not essential. Barna offers peace and quiet to the visitor who wants to tour the area and use the cottages as a base.
