Pestana Palm Gardens

Pestana Palm Gardens is a quaint and intimate resort that’s conveniently situated near the many attractions and activities of Praia do Carvoeiro. The resort has a swimming pool and a children's pool, with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas available. The pool bar is excellent, with attentive and friendly staff. An on-site restaurant is popular and serves delicious local fare as well as Mediterranean favorites. There’s a small gym on-site as well as sauna, massage facilities, ping pong, and tennis. Praia do Carvoeiro was originally a small, traditional fishing village, but has become a popular resort for international travelers and has been developed to keep pace with the influx of visitors. There are bars, cafés, and outstanding restaurants surrounding the town square. Jet skis and pedal boats are available at local beaches, as are diving facilities. Local fishermen offer scenic trips around the coastline. The cliff tops around Carvoeiro present spectacular views. When hiking the area, you may come across algares, which are holes in the cliffs where the sea has eaten it away from underneath; there are some near the lighthouse at Cabo de Carvoeiro. For families, there are two water parks nearby, as well as a marine life park and a mini-zoo with fun activities for children.
