Key Largo is home to the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, the first undersea
park established in the US. The diving is great here, as it is at nearby Florida Keys
National Marine Sanctuary and throughout the Keys. If visitors choose to stay above
the water, the boating in this area is a true pleasure. And nearby is the Dolphin
Research Center, and Robbie's Marina where visitors can feed the tarpons and pelicans.
For the true nature lover, Everglades National Park is a short drive away. Great seafood
abounds in local restaurants and the shops are rich with unique gift items.
