Since Paraguaná " The Friendship Peninsula" has been declared a free zone, it has become a great place for shopping, with good stores at duty-free prices. In the community of Cardon, you can find the environmental park "Gustavo Rivera", an interesting zoo, where you can find the spectacled bear, an endangered species of the Andes. There’s also a collection of birds of prey and a petting zoo, where kids can interact with animals. In the center of the peninsula is one of its most iconic natural attractions, the Cerro Santa Ana, declared a natural monument. You can reach the top departing from the village of Moruy. The first part of the climb is hot because there is not much vegetation, but for the second part, you must go through a tropical rainforest, until you reach the top, where you’ll find a privileged view of the entire peninsula, the Sierra de Coro and the island of Aruba. In Moruy you can get furnishings of renowned craftsmanship.
