Solvang is a quaint family-friendly village of flower-lined streets featuring Old World Architecture, highlighted by thatch, copper and tile roofs. Solvang's many unique shops offer an assortment of imported European wares, including porcelain, collectibles and handicrafts. Restaurants feature delicious food from Denmark and bakeries are full of wonderful Danish pastries and cookies. Visitors can also enjoy Danish windmills, the statues of Hans Christian Andersen and the Little Mermaid, the half-timbered houses, the Danish rural church, the Round Tower, as well as Danish music and folk dancing.
