Top Things To Do
Experience wide open spaces, majestic mountains and sparkling glaciers in Montana,
a state where every day brings a new adventure. And Glacier National Park is Montana's
adventure capital. (Or, as the Blackfeet tribe have dubbed it: the "backbone of the
world.")
More than 2 million people visit the park annually. Many tour the picturesque Going-to-the-Sun
Road on a red bus. Others explore the park's 700 miles of hiking trails that wind
through the park's mountains, meadows, lakes and streams. Still others view the natural
wonders on horseback or via a guided ranger tour.
Although most Glacier-area vacations are planned for the summer, winters here can
be particularly amazing. Brave visitors who don't mind getting around by ski or snowshoe
may feel as though they have the entire park to themselves.
At Montana's southern end lies Big Sky, Custer National Forest and the north entrance
to Yellowstone National Park. The Montana side is perhaps the most scenic. In fact,
the drive down Beartooth Highway from Red Lodge has been called "the most beautiful
drive in America."
Endless Vacation Rentals has many resort options in Montana, whether you choose to
stay near Glacier, Yellowstone, or somewhere in between. Discover the vacation home
