Table Rock Resort is located in the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of South Carolina. If you love the outdoors, then this is the place for your family's vacation. On site are tennis courts, an 18-hole PGA golf course and a swimming pool (pool is open in the summer only). Day-trips can take you to waterfalls; beautiful hiking trails, and lakes with fishing, swimming, and boat ramps. Steakhouse Cafeteria in Walhalla (Westminster). Surprisingly, steak isn't served here but you may discover you've come upon the best chicken you've ever tasted, along with "good ol' Southern cooking" served cafeteria-style. Save room for the Snickers Pie.

James Island County Park (Charleston). This 643-acre park offers a variety of recreational opportunities including crabbing and fishing from floating docks along tidal creeks and lagoons, biking, pedal boats, and picnicking. During the warmer months be sure to check out Splash Zone water park and the 50-foot climbing wall.

Lawton Stables Trail Rides (Hilton Head). Be sure to make a reservation and spend some time on the trail with the horses. Put on your helmet and tour a lovely area of Sea Pines, staffed by professional guides who are happy to help.

Myrtle Beach Pavilion Water Park (Myrtle Beach). Enjoy a wide assortment of fun-filled rides including a Nostalgia Park offering a collection of classic rides.

Pavilion Nostalgia Park (Myrtle Beach). The perfect family outing, this park lets you enjoy a classic collection of amusement rides, including the famous Herschell-Spillman Carousel, dating back to 1912.

Greenville Zoo (Westminster). Small enough to make it easy to visit, this collection of well cared for and happy animals is perfect for families. Enjoy the large, free playground at the entrance, in addition to a smaller playground inside the zoo, and be sure to stop at the petting zoo.

Hilton Head Shopping (Hilton Head). From chic boutiques to exclusive outlet shops, Hilton Head Island offers fashionable, fine-quality products in intimate plazas, quaint marinas, elegant harbors and full-service shopping centers, including The Mall at Shelter Cove.

Myrtle Beach Shopping (Myrtle Beach). You'll find a variety of shopping centers, factory outlets, beachwear and specialty shops with the latest fashions, trends, and casual leisure-style clothing at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach, Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, and the new Coastal Grand Mall at Highways 17 and 501 in Myrtle Beach.

Greenville Shopping (Westminster). For a quieter shopping experience with an historical twist, about an hour from Westminster you'll find a charming southern town with historical homes and shops within its tree-lined streets.

Boone Hall Plantation (Charleston). Be sure to visit this still working plantation that NBC Daytime Television called "A must see!" Here you will find examples of Southern heritage spanning 300 years as you take tours of the gardens, slave cabins and plantation coach. You can also see one of the longest oak-lined avenues.

Commander Zodiac Boat Tours (Hilton Head). Fun to say, and fun to do, this dolphin watching and nature touring company is your best bet for a fun-filled adventure for the whole family, including kid-themed water sports excursions. And if a self-guided tour is more your speed, Commander Zodiac is a full-service boat-rental shop as well.

The Grand Strand (Myrtle Beach). Whether by boat, airplane, bicycle or other means, you can view marshes, swamps and former rice plantations, as well as area history predating the American Revolution.

Falls Park on the Reedy, Greenville (Westminster). The park is delightful and the falls are beautiful. Come here to unwind, go for a nice walk, or pack a lunch and dine al fresco by the falls.
